16 Must-Haves to Style the Perfect Modern Farmhouse Home Office

When someone says farmhouse style, I immediately think of farmhouse style: reclaimed wood, weathered paint, sage green and mason jars.
And though that really isn’t my jam, I see that farmhouse style is VERY popular over on Pinterest. Even though Fixer Upper is going off the air, I see no signs of farmhouse decor slowing down.
So I wondered if there were any ways to evoke farmhouse style in a way that would fit in more with my personal style. Enter the Modern Farmhouse.
Here are a few rooms from Houzz that come up with your search for “modern farmhouse”:
This office is minimal and modern, but it still has elements of farmhouse style. Check out the desk, the cowhide rug and the iron black/bronze looking lamp. There are also some iron-looking elements styling the built-ins.
While this is a dining space, I can totally see this motif translating itself into a home office space. The chairs have a strong dining sensibility to me, so I personally would choose a different chair. Especially since these don’t seem super comfortable to sit in for long periods of time.
There are a few elements that seem to bring farmhouse into the modern age:
  • Use of black and white
  • White or neutral walls
  • Very little accent color
  • Black metal elements
  • Warm toned, medium colored wood elements
  • Minimal kitsch or blatantly country items

The modern farmhouse concept is very close to the industrial look to me. The use of metal and wood can make for a very industrial, urban loft look. But with modern farmhouse, the difference is in the structure of the furniture and accessories. They awaken a time gone by, but without hitting you over the head with it (no “farm fresh eggs” chalkboard art).

Here are a few finds (well, more than a few, 16 to be exact) from Amazon for styling a modern farmhouse office. Click on any of the images to learn more. What’s Your Home Office Signature Style?

discover your home office style

Stark white? Bold colors? Warm woods? Sleek glass? Which home office style is your signature look?

When it comes to matters of personal home office style, no two workistas are the same. When I am on Pinterest looking at home office style inspiration, there are so many chic, stylish, unique takes on this valuable room in your home.

Chances are your office decor will match the home decor style in the rest of your home.

My house is what I would call transitional. It’s a newer home with modern lines and features, but I have a healthy mix of contemporary and traditional elements. Although I would say it leans a little more to the modern side.

Transitional

Transitional style is the toughest style of decor to define, but I think it’s one of the most common decor styles in American homes. When it comes to transitional style, think of it as “the new classics” or “a fresh spin on a traditional look.” For me, that means mixing traditional elements like damasks or paisleys with sleek contemporary finishes like metallic accents, glass furniture and anything that puts a modern polish on the look.

Mid-Century Mod

Unless you’ve been under a rock, you know that mid-century modern has been going mad strong in decor magazines and showrooms for the last few years. I always think of this as the “Mad Men” look. Bold solid colors, interesting lines and a geometric sensibility are the hallmarks of this swingin’ signature style.

Scandinavian

I find Scandinavian decor really relaxing and pleasing to the eye. This style finds a way to make stark white homey and not sterile or severe. I think the mix of natural wood tones and the fact that there is often a splash of something alive and green help make Scandinavian style comfortable and approachable.

Modern

We already covered mid-century modern, which I think is a really narrow, distinctive look. Modern, however, does refer to the aesthetic of the modern era. This is a more updated version of a modern office v. the mid-century look above. I think this room could be called contemporary, but I still think it has a modern appeal, just without the level of kitsch the swingin’ mod look brings.

Shabby-Chic

While this look became popular a while back, I think it still has devoted fans. I always think of shabby-chic as the crafter or scrapbooker’s style of choice. I like that it is usually feminine and pretty. this picture is a version of shabby-chic I can get behind. It is still clean with some nice lines, and the colors and patterns are more modern than the Laura Ashley style florals and doilies this look can venture into.

Contemporary

Now in full disclosure, I am not seeing a big difference between contemporary and modern in these particular photos. But I do think there is a bit of a departure from the strictly geometric style featured in our modern photo above. Contemporary means a la mode: today’s look.

Femme

This look is close to shabby-chic, but it is more like femme-chic, or modern victorian. I love how updated the gray diamond patterned wallpaper looks with the super-traditional and ornate elements like the desk chair and the bust on the desk. Did you notice she’s wearing headphones? I love it.

Farmhouse

The famhouse look has reigned supreme during the last decade or so, at least on HGTV. Or, maybe more specifically, at least on Fixer Upper. Ok, so all I have to say is that it is basically whatever Joanna Gaines would design on Fixer Upper. White wash, shiplap or clapboard walls, shaker style cabinetry and oil rubbed bronze hardware are all classic elements of farmhouse style.

Crystal Clear Inspiration: 8 of Our Favorite Glass Desks

Best glass desks of 2018

I have a glass desk in my own office. I love the modern look at the way that it keeps the space open and bright looking. I want people to be able to focus on the wallpaper accent wall.

My tiny laptop desk is a budget IKEA hack. I spray painted this baby:

And here’s the result:

I’m happy with it for now, but my hack job pales in comparison to these sleek beauties. Take a look at this gorgeousness. Without further ado…

OneSpace Contemporary Glass Writing Desk, Steel Frame, White and Cool Blue

I love this one. The lines of the base are modern and minimal, so they will fit into almost any home office decor.

I also love the way that the blueish-green hue is in the tempered glass. I just always love that look for some reason.

The OneSpace 50-HD0107 is on the small side: the dimensions are 23.9 x 40 x 30 inches

However, the manufacturer boasts that smart design makes it feel like a much larger desk. There is definitely great legroom because of the design.

It can also support up to 110 pounds of weight. That’s crazy.

Here’s a review from Tyara:

Great table at a great price!! This table/desk how ever you want to call it, its beyond beautiful for this price!! Its not too big nor too small perfect size for any room. It was super easy to set up with or without instructions (instructions are included, dont really need them) I set it up myself, its easy for one person set up. Just be careful while putting on the glass top, if you have someone around have them help you, let them hold the glass top. Im sure you don’t want to drop the glass, if not just screw on the glass top carefully. What I love about this table is how elegant it looks

Tempered Glass L Shape Corner Desk With Pull Out Keyboard Panel

If you need some serious table top space, then this one could work for you.

The pretty glass desktop is 8mm tempered clear safety glass. The L shape can be set up in either direction, and the base is made of scratch resistant steel. The short side of the desk sports a pullout keyboard tray, which is a really nice feature to be included in a modern, minimal design like this.

This desk gets pretty much perfect reviews:

At the current price this desk ROCKS. Has the nice space for your pc tower, router, and/or subwoofer – all safely guarded from kicks. That is especially handy for folks that tend to kick their legs subconsciously.

Putting it together was an absolute breeze! Took all of 10 minutes.

Seems very sturdy/stable. Looks very nice and gives ample flat glass desktop for laying out books, notepads, etc.

Monarch specialties I 3055, Console Sofa Table, Tempered Glass, Dark Taupe, 44″L

The warm wood accents with the clear glass base are gorgeous on this one. This one can be a console table or a desk. It also comes in a few more color options that you can see here ==>Color Options

AND, it’s less than $100!

Here’s a review:

great quality, easy to put together, looks beautiful! See picture 🙂 I used it as a sleek desk with height adjustable chairs to adjust for the higher height

I just love how unique this piece is. You can check it out here ==>See the Desk

Coaster Home Furnishings Modern Contemporary Two Drawer Writing Office Desk with Storage Cubby Compartment and Tempered Glass Panels – Glossy White

I included this one because it is clear and modern but it includes some decent storage as well.

People think the desk looks great, but a lot of users say the desk had some damage upon receipt, due to shoddy packaging.

Like most others posting about it, the way out was packaged was terrible. The product ended up damaged. Very irritated about that. But way too expensive to send back. Would appreciate compensation for the product being damaged though

Ryan Rove Becker Metal and Glass Computer Desk in Silver

Here’s another cute glass desk for less than $100!

The reviews are positive but keep in mind this desk is petite, coming in at 18 X 31 X 29 inches.

Flash Furniture Glass Computer Desk with Silver Frame

Reviewers seem to agree that while this isn’t the most luxe piece you’ll ever buy, it is a good deal.

The legs are sawhorse style, and can be placed where ever you need or want them to be, giving this desk some versatility.

This desk is absolutely beautiful! It fits perfect in my room with limited space and as another customer did, I also spray painted the legs gold and it looks Fabulous! The glass top is sturdy and the whole piece is quality. The price was also incredible for a desk of this size and make, I had been shopping a long while to find the right desk that wouldn’t be too bulky or cheap and that would fit perfect in my office. I am so pleased to have found this, I’ve received so many compliments on this desk!

You can place the legs however you wish under the nice 3/8″ thick pane of glass. The desk is pretty sturdy and there is plenty of room for my dual monitor setup (27″ and 22″), speakers, mouse, keyboard and whatever paperwork I may need to reference.

Bonvivo Designer Desk Massimo, Modern Secretary In A Contemporary Design

This Italian inspired design has a high-end looking design. The desk surface is tempered glass on top with white lacquered MDF underneath. While the shelf looks like it could hold a lot, it doesn’t hide much in terms of clutter. This desk is modest in size, with overall dimensions at 29-½ X /43 X 21-½ “.

This one gets mostly great reviews that call the desk sturdy, however at least one buyer thought the desk was “wobbly.”

5 Mod Desk Chairs That Are To Die For

Peacock Blue velvet desk chair from Amazon

Move Over Rolling Desk Chair…

One of the first notions home-workeristas need to give up is that desk chair must be an old-fashioned, traditional, rolling desk chair. When it comes to decorating a home office, style doesn’t have to be compromised.

While designated desk chairs have their advantages (easy to move, lumbar support, adjustable height), choosing any stylish accent chair can give your home office a splash of color and style.

Here are five adorable quick picks that will add mid-century mod style and bold, on-trend colors to any home office. Check these beauties out.

Mid Century Velvet Living Room Accent Armchair

The curves of this pretty accent chair are just perfect. And I am always a sucker for this style of leg. I think I’m going to order this one for myself.

Here are what a few purchasers had to say:

I love this chair! I’ve seen similar chairs at places like West Elm for $300 or $400, so you can’t beat this price. The quality is very good for the price. The legs of the chair are metal, not wood, but the wood pattern doesn’t look fake and doesn’t stand out. The velvet is so soft, and while the back of the chair is a bit short, it’s comfortable enough for me to sit cross-legged.

“Chair is GREAT quality. I purchased the gray and it’s exactly like the photos. Velvet is very soft and in great condition. Seat height is good for under a desk or table. The chair is actually pretty deep, so taller people should also be fine sitting in it. Assembly couldn’t be easier.”

Rivet Huxley Mid-Century Accent Chair, Burnt Orange

This wood framed arm chair gives super mod style to any office. We love the orange for a pop of color. There is a (much more expensive) leather version available too!

Here’s a review:

I got this to go in the guest room because it look nice. I have modern furniture in there. I like the Mid-Century lines…That being said, once I sat in it, I wanted it for my great room. It’s so comfortable.

Roundhill Furniture Tuchico Contemporary Fabric Accent Chair, Tan and Gray

The vertical lines in the design of this neutral beauty ad a little bit of interest and sophistication. Beware that users say this one isn’t comfortable to everyone, but it’s pretty and a great price.

Homelegance Lucille Fabric Upholstered Pub Barrel Chair, Blue

This blue barrel chair is a sturdy, durable choice. It has a stronger looking construction and a higher weight limit than some of the others on the list. Definitely a more substantial chair. And it is %100 polyester tweed, which means that it will be super stain resistant.

Here’s a review:

Love it! So happy with this purchase. Great Quality for an excellent price. Sturdy, easy to put together, and comfortable!

Roundhill Furniture Doarnin Contemporary Silky Velvet Tufted Button Back Accent Chair, Mauve

This chair is absolutely swoon-worthy. Blush pink and mauve are huge right now, but beware that buyers are saying that this one shows up a little more lavender than pink. Keep that in mind before purchasing, especially if you aleady have accents in your room that are that warmer, shell version of pink.

Having read the previous reviews I already knew what I was signing for – lavender color instead of pink. And it suits me well! I wonder why the seller still has no inclination to change the description in order to improve his rating????‍♀️The seat is a bit on the hard side, but the right size and comfortable curves make up for this small drawback. A nice chair overall.

We hope these gorgeous chairs give you some inspiration for your own home office. Good luck finding the best home office chair.

P.S. Keep in mind that several of these are available in a variety of colors!

Best Standing Desks 2018- Buyer’s Guide and Review

2018 best standing desk

Because the research shows that sitting is going to kills us all, standing desks are growing popularity. More and more work-at-home professionals consider standing desks as their choice for the best home office desk. Are you considering ditching the chair for a standing solution? Before you take the plunge, you need to understand what makes a standing desk great and how to choose the right desk for you.

So what makes a great standing desk? Here are a few factors to consider when choosing the right desk.

Size–The obvious first question is, how big is your workspace? Do you have a modest-sized devoted office? A desk in a spare bedroom? A corner in your kitchen? When choosing a standing desk it is important to consider the square footage you’re working with, as well as the shape of your space. A desk with a big footprint in a small space obvs doesn’t work.

Material–Your desk material affects the cost, upkeep and aesthetic of your desk. Are you looking for something easy to clean and functional like a basic wood? Or something inexpensive like particleboard? What about a sleek glass top that is prone to showing fingerprints? The material you choose is simply a matter of taste and budget.

Adjustability–Before you buy, it’s important to think about whether you want to be standing full time, or if you’d like to have the option to sit on occasion. If you want versatility, you should look for an adjustable unit. But not all adjustable desks are created equal–it’s important to consider the mechanics of the adjustment. If adjustments are difficult or cumbersome, you aren’t going to use the adjustable feature at all.

Style–With any furniture purchase, your personal style is one of the most important factors (or for some of us, it may be maybe the only factor). Some standing desks are “workier” looking than others, so consider whether it’s worth it to you to use a less attractive desk in your space.

Ergonomics–As with sitting, the ergonomics of your setup are really important to keeping your body aligned. Pay attention to screen-to-eye-height and keyboard placement. If you’re cranking your neck to constantly look down or you are typing with your arms at an awkward angle, you can end up with an injury. And since you probably work for yourself, safeguarding your body at work is entirely up to you.

Surface area–Do you spread out papers and books? Or are you a laptop only type of worker? Do you keep all of your office supplies at arms reach? Or do you like a clean, clutter-free surface? How much workspace you need is completely up to you.

Your Tech Setup–Do you need several corded items or monitors? Do you need holes to streamline your cords? Or are you ok with a “floating desk” that sits in the middle of the room, cord-free?

Budget–We found standing laptop stands starting at around 70 bucks up to some big baller desks ranging up to $600+. We tried to review desks that would work for a variety of wallets.

We considered all of these important factors and compiled a list of 10 standing desks that offer great features and variety of options for your personal working needs.

The Top 10

1. Sheldon Standing Desk–$137.99, Laurel Foundry Modern Farmhouse

We love the style of this desk. The Laurel Foundry Modern Farmhouse line of furniture promises “industrial-inspired elegance meets rustic farmhouse charm.” Evoking the look of repurposed materials (at this price point it is likely a “repurposed wood look”) along with angular metal designs, Laurel Foundry makes the perfect stuff for channeling your inner Joanna Gaines.

People seem to put this desk to multipurpose use; it can act as a small, makeshift dining table if you add stools to the mix. We can see this one working tucked against a kitchen wall, or in a dedicated office space.

Here are the stats:

  • 42” H x 44” W x 22” D
  • Overall Product Weight 40.28 lb.
  • Reclaimed wood surface “style”
  • Matte black metal base with X design
  • Height not adjustable

One happy buyer says that she’s using the desk as a multipurpose piece:

“I am using this desk as a combo standing desk/kitchen table. It’s a great size, I can fit 4 bar stools beneath….I’m 5’4 and the standing height of 42in is perfect for me. The desk is very stable and it has a nice industrial look. Most standing desks are very expensive and unattractive, when I found this was I was very happy!”

This piece also seems to work well for taller standing workers:

“Great desk! Ordered two for the office I share with a coworker. Surface area is just right for writing typing. Not a huge space, so I’m forced to stay organized. Great height for us. We’re both about 6′ give or take. Solid, sturdy and easy to assemble. Colors are true to photo. Top is a very nice texture as well. Super happy with this for the price!”
With great style, this simple standing desk offers a smaller footprint with a nice sized work surface. And at an affordable price point, this desk could be “the one.”

2. Mobile Laptop Cart.–$34.99, Seville Classics

This cheapy may be a good choice if you aren’t fully committed to the standing desk lifestyle. It’s more like a tv tray and a standing desk had a baby.

This laptop cart is on 1.5 inch casters which makes it easy to move if you don’t have much space or if your office is a multi-use space in your home. You can adjust the height with a locking knob. This no-nonsense lap cart is a little bit utilitarian in design, but it seems to have a lot of good reviews.

Heads up: the most common complaint is that the surface of the mini-desk is in fact quite tilted, not flat as it appears in the photos. With no “stopper” feature for the laptop, things could get slippery and annoying. BUT, one smart reviewer points out that this is actually a feature that may be adjusted to your liking during assembly:

“This laptop desk was just what I was looking for. Other people posted that the top was too tilted, but if when you assemble it, you turn the top around, it is flat. A great, easy to assemble, inexpensive product.”

Here are the stats:

  • Tabletop can be adjusted to either a flat or slanted position
  • Utilitarian gray metal stand
  • Minimum Overall Height – Floor to Tabletop: 20.5 Inches
  • Maximum Overall Height – Floor to Tabletop: 33 Inches
  • Wood-look table top
  • Adjustable height with a single knob
  • Holds up to 15 lbs of weight

At $34.99, this won’t break the bank. If you hate it, it could double as a night table or tv tray for your snacks when you’re spending some quality time with Netflix.

3. Move 80 Series Height Adjustable Standing Desk, $643.99, Bush Business Furniture

Now this is a serious desk for the worker who’s seriously committed to standing while working. This bad boy has a lot of features that we won’t find on cheaper models, like:

  • A ” Durable thermally fused laminate work surface” which features “superior resistance to scratches and stains.”
  • A wide range in height, from 23 to 49 inches high
  • Speedy adjustment, moving at a speed of 1.5 inches per second
  • Four programmable presets
  • A quiet, soft-touch start and stop
  • UL listed electric motors
  • 10 foot power cord plugs into standard wall outlet
  • Welded 16 gauge steel base legs and feet which help this bad boy support a hefty weight capacity of up to 200 lbs
  • Meets industry standards for safety and performance
  • Heat tested to withstand the heat of a laptop

This unit gets good reviews, however one user docked it a star because they had to drill holes for sufficient electric cord access.

If you’re in need of a desk that can easily adjust with the touch of a button, then this is a good choice for you. While it has a price tag that reflects all of the bells and whistles, this is a choice that is bound to offer you the ergonomic set up you need.

4. Long Beach Calder Writing Desk, $407.99, Trent Austin Design

This desk combines the rustic, rugged look of a distressed rubberwood frame with clean lines and metal details. The reason this desk is a winner is it’s storage space. With two compartments and a sizeable work surface, this is a practical, hardworking desk. Here are the stats:

  • Constructed of Veneer, Rubberwood, Iron
  • A faux drawer handle which conceals lifting mechanism
  • Lifting desktop reveals hidden storage
  • Metal accents for on-trend modern farmhouse design
  • The desktop height is adjusted simply by lifting the desktop by the edges to the desired level, and the locking mechanisms will hold it in place.

While this desk gets generally good reviews, some buyers did note that converting the desk from the sitting to standing position is difficult, especially with anything on the desktop like your computer or books. One review said:

“My only problem with this desk is that the desktop is very hard to lift when you have your computer, etc on it…This makes the storage space in the desk almost unusable for me unless you only store things in there that you don’t use often.”

Another reviewer even said that converting the desk is a two-person job. So if you want a desk that easily adjusts, this one is not the best choice. However, if you are looking for a desk with some storage, this one could be a good choice.

5. Height Adjustable Desk Converter, $149, Innovadesk
http://amzn.to/2runJPO

This isn’t really a desk; it is an adjustable unit that sits on top of any normal, sitting desk. You put your computer or monitor on the adjustable platform, where it can rise up to standing level, or sit in the lowered position which is useful for seated work.

With no assembly required, this is a simple addition to the desk you already have. Here are the stats:

  • Height adjusts up to 16 inches and is a mere 2.5 inches in the seated position.
  • Desktop surface is 36X24
  • The unit weighs 32 lbs
  • The max load for this desk converter is 20 lbs.
  • Made of black, laminated particle board with a steel base

The Innovadesk moves with a gas spring system which takes you from sitting to standing in a mere three seconds.
This unit offers flexibility by allowing you to work sitting or standing without investing in a mechanical looking convertible desk. Use any desk or table you already have, or one buy one that is more your style.

While we find the $149 price tag a little bit hefty for a converter, it gets great reviews and buyers seem to think it’s a good value. One reviewer calls it “sturdy as hell,” and comments “Huge desktop surface, extremely sturdy, and easy to raise/lower. Couldn’t ask for more.”

Couldn’t ask for more is a pretty solid compliment. If you’re not into an entirely new desk, give this a try.

Note: There is a similar product that we wanted to mention, the X-elite pro (http://amzn.to/2Dsoxdy) which is a bit more at $199. It has 592 reviews and a high rating, so this one may be a safer bet that he Innovadesk which only has 9 reviews (all positive). However, we think both look like good products, so we went with the one that was cheaper for our list.

6. Adjustable Standing Desk, $382.99, Wildon Home

This white, futuristic desk has a white glass top, which acts as a dry erase board! With three USB ports and four programmable LED touch controls, this desk offers awesome practicality for when you need to get some serious workage on. It is adjustable from 29. 5 inches to 47 inches, giving it a wide height range.

  • Whiteboard glass top!
  • Large drawers with dividers for ample storage
    Attachable monitor arm.
  • Powered when plugged in, featuring 3 USB ports
  • A large, divided drawer stores your desk supplies.
  • Surface area is 47.25” W x 25.5” D

Check out this recent 5-star Review:

“I think I’ve stumbled upon the hidden gem of Wayfair’s amazing selection with this desk. In a market where desks with fewer features go for at least 3X the price, I was a bit hesitant but decided to take the gamble. I couldn’t be happier! This desk has it all beautiful sturdy metal frame, tempered glass top that doubles as a writing surface, 3 Port powered USB hub, quick and quiet motor, segmented drawer! Add to that an easy setup you’ve got the smart desk everyone should have. You seriously can’t any better value than this!”
Sounds good to us!

7. Gwen Corner Floating Desk, $188.99 by Latitude Run

How cute is this shelf?? While this isn’t exactly a standing desk, it is a corner mounted workspace that can be mounted at any height you choose! The good thing is that you can carefully consider where you’d like the desk surface to be, and you can mount it to fit your height and needs. It even includes a little bit of storage space!
Of course, the bad thing is that you can’t convert the height at all; once it’s mounted, it’s mounted. Another downfall is that a permanently mounted height means that it might not be easy to share with a partner or roomate who is a very different height.

But for the work-at-home maven who is short on space, this offers a great solution. Here are some stats:

  • Made in North America
  • Wood construction
  • Corner design utilizes space to the fullest
  • 2 removable shelves
  • 5 fixed shelves
  • Cutout for cables and wires
  • Designed to accommodate walls that aren’t perfectly square (great if you have an older home or apartment with wonky lines.)
  • Overall Dimensions are 40” H x 42” W x 27.3” D
  • The desktop measures 42” W x 27.3” D
  • Distance between desktop and shelves: 18.5″
  • Required wall space per wall is 30.5″ W

A reviewer says:

“I just love this desk…best purchase ever. It is fits perfectly in the corner and is definitely a space saver.”

We like this unique little addition to the list.

8. Tetrick L-Shaped Computer Desk, $153.99, Ebern Designs

If your work requires you to have a work surface that takes up some serious real estate, this is the choice for you.
This L-shaped desk is a biggin’.

The look is sleek and modern, with contemporary angles, an attractive teak-look table top and black metal legs.
Here are the stats:

  • Overall Dimensions 29” H x 66.14” W x 49.21” D
  • Desktop 28.94” H x 66.14” W x 18.9” D
  • 56.59 lb.–Sturdy to support a lot of weight.
  • Room for multiple monitors or computers, making this a good choice for designers or other dual-screen users
  • Storage for wires in beveled edge design
  • A free CPU stand is provided
  • Maximum height: 30.94″

It has a slew of good reviews. Many reviewers report that the desk was easy to assemble and hsas a nice, sturdy feel. Here are a few reviews:

“This is a great looking, sturdy piece of furniture. It fits nicely in our office, we actually got 2 of them for a his and hers office.”

“Super easy to put together and sturdy. It was a great buy for the price. It has a long return on the side that makes it easy to maneuver the mouse.”

9. Symple Stuff Easy Pull Home Office Standing Desk, $157.99, Symple Stuff

Here is another desktop converter deal. This good thing about this one is that it is ergonomically sound because it has separate surfaces for monitor and keyboard. If you’ve ever had any neck or shoulder issues. your physical therapist might have told you how important it is to have your screen at a natural eye level, and your keyboard in a lower position to prevent body strain by typing with the shoulders or elbows raised in an unnatural way.
This converter has is fairly large. It can accomodate screens of up to 30 inches. Here are a few stats:

Overall Dimensions: 31.5” W x 21.6” D
Overall Height – Top to Bottom – Maximum
15.6 ”
Overall Height – Top to Bottom – Minimum
6.3 ”
Product Weight: 38 lb.
Comes in basic black and a cherry look with black metal base
manual height adjustment.
Can accommodate screens of 30″ depending on the monitor being used

And according to reviewers, it seems like a pretty user-friendly setup: “Adjustable function is very easy to use, height is changed multiple times a day, and works as well as it did on the first day we got it! We have had it for over half a year now.”

This could be a solid choice if you want an easy to use, no-nonsense desk converter solution.

10. Elevate Standing Desk, $195.99 Sale Price (Reg. $329), Safco Products Company

“This desk is sturdy and stylish in an industrial sort of way, without being bulky (I ordered the white version). The adjustable foot bar is great, and the desk is easy to assemble. It’s exactly the right amount of space for a computer desk with room left on the edge for papers or a small lamp.”
